Talk:In Airport - getting to Haifa

From Wikimania 2011 • Haifa, Israel

the page uses NIS - other websites seem to use ILS though, maybe this might be helpful to mention on pages like this, where people might want to use a currency convertor? :) Lodewijk 14:06, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NIS and ILS are the same. See Currency in Israel. Dolev (talk) 08:08, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Train and Shared Service Taxi (Sherut)

Just Compare

  • Train to Haifa ( 38 Shekel) + Central bus station to Dorm ( 50 Shekel) = 88 Shekel
  • Shared Service Taxi (Sherut) to Dorm? ( where?) = 70 Shekel (written by Jayantanth, 17:01, 31 July 2011)
The Sherut Taxi ride from the airport to Haifa (any destination in the city) will cost 80 NIS for Wikimania attendees (please tell the driver upon entering the cab that you came for Wikimania).
The train to Haifa costs 38.5 NIS and from Haifa Hof HaCarmel to the dorms it's 45-55 NIS depending on the destination. There are advantages and disadvantages to each way you chose and it is not only price related. You may take into account time and convenience factors. Ldorfman 19:06, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
