Abstract (please use no less than 300 words to describe your proposal)
This is a submission to present the status of Sanskrit Wikipedia, Sanskrit Wikisource, Sanskrit Wikitionary and Sanskrit Wikibooks and incubator version of Sanskrit Wikiquote and what are the future plannings. Sanskrit Wikipedia is growing fast and Sanskrit Wikisource, Sanskrit Wikitionary and Wikibooks have a scope of becoming a major project. Sanskrit Projects are affiliated with Samskrita Bharati. Instead of being not a major project, workshops have been held and many are planned. Article count is increasing in every project, especially Wikipedia. Wikisource reached 2000 articles recently and Wikipedia is near to 5000 articles. Sanskrit is a perfect language, even perfect than Latin and could be a major Internet language. Wikimedia has given this language the base it needed but the need of today is that it should be given likes of Wikipedias like the Latin version. I think Wikimania is a great stage to discuss this important issue. Most of the Indian Wikipedians would be not there but some brilliant ideas can come from the minds of other Wikipedians. Thanks for giving your precious time. Vibhijain 13:32, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
