Wikipedia is a complex organism, lots of people learning and teaching. But a trend is coming, the number of active editors is decreasing. The question is Which editors are the ones that are leaving -- are they the new editors or the more tenured ones?. The aim is to answer this question. One such study has used the English Wikipedia. This study uses the Portuguese Wikipedia. This work is important for creating new policies for retention of editors on Wikipedia Portuguese.:
