Getting to the Hotels from Train Stations

If possible, have this paper printed

In order to ease the process of getting from the train stations by taxi, fixed prices were determined in advance by Wikimania local team in cooperation with the stations managers. The prices are for all the different destinations attendees should get to in all hours of the day. It is highly recommended to have the paper telling everything about it printed and to show it to the taxi driver upon entering the cab.

The prices are for a joint ride of up to 4 people including the entire luggage.
When less than 4 people enter the cab, the price for the ride remains the same.
Taking a taxi from the Haifa Hof-HaCarmel station, Wikimania attendees may pay in American Dollars according to the prices mentioned in the paper.

Getting to the Venue from Hof HaCarmel (Haifa Beach) Train Station

The train arrives at platform 1 of the station.

If you intend to take a taxi, exit the station to the west (sea side). There is a taxi station about 30 meters in front of you. The ride should cost 45 NIS or 13.5 USD.

If you intend to take a public bus:

Go downstairs and cross to into the main station building. When exiting the station, facing north - the central bus station will be on your right. Use the tunnel to enter the Station.
Use bus number 3, 133 to the Carmel Centre.
For Mount Carmel Hotel - get off the bus near the hotel (at Ilanot Street). For all other hotels get off on the first Station of Hanassi Ave. (ask the driver to tell you where to get off). The hotels are 7 minutes walk from the bus station, walking north on Hanassi Ave.

For Nof and Dan Panorama Hotel, use bus 133 as well, and get off on the first station of Hanassi Ave. The hotels are 7 minutes walk northwards on Hannasi Ave.

Bus ride is about 25 minutes (anout 40 minutes for bus no. 133).

Getting to the Hotels from Haifa Merkaz (Haifa Central) Train Station

If you intend to take a taxi, cabs can be found in all hours of the day just in front of the train station exit. The ride should cost 40 NIS.

If you intend to take the subway (in operating hours):

Cross the street from the station and turn left. Walk about 500 meters along HaAtzmout Rd. and turn right on Eliyahu St. Walk about 90 meters - the underground (Carmelit) station will be in front of you.
Take the underground (Carmelit) to Gan Haem (the last station).

Upon exiting the station - the Panorama Hotel will be 30 meters north of you and the Nof hotel 50 meters north of you along Hanassi Ave.

To reach Mount Carmel Hotel - go south from the station 50 meters, turn right to Derech Hayam Road, and walk down hill 500 metets (12 minutes). Do not turn right to Shoshanat Hacarmel Street or left to Ilanot Street. The Hotel will be on your left.

To reach the Crown Plaza Hotel and Ganei Dan Hotel, upon exising the station, stay on the east side of the road (the left exit of the station), turn north (turn left when exiting the left exit), walk 10 meters and turn right to Shaar HaLevanon St., down hill, towards Yaffe Nof Street. Upon reaching Yaffe Nof Street (a "T" intersection) - the panorama tower will be on your left. Turn right and walk south along Yaffe Nof St. for about 250 meters. The Crown Plaza (Holiday Inn) will be on your left, and the Ganei Dan Hotel on your right.

Getting to the Har HaCarmel Hotel (Mount Carmel Hotel) from Venue

Mount Carmel hotel is located at 103 Derech Hayam St.

A shuttle bus will be provided during the conference time.

At other times, use public transportation from the Carmel Center, or walk to the Hotel (15 minutes walk):

Walk North from venue along Hanassi Eve. to Derech Hayam Street, walk down the street (500 meters) (do not turn right to Shoshanat Hacarmel Street or Left to Ilanot Street). The hotel will be on your left.

Getting to the Nof Hotel/ Dan Panorama Hotel from the Venue

Nof Hotel is located at 101 Hanassi Ave.; Dan Panorama Hotel is located in the next building - 107 HaNassi Avenue.

Walk north along HaNassi Avenue for about 400 meters (seven minutes). The hotels will be on your right.

Getting to Dan Carmel Hotel from Venue

Dan Carmel Hotel is located at 87 Hanassi Ave.

Walk north along HaNassi Avenue for about 650 meters (seven minutes). The hotels will be on your right.

Getting to the Ganei Dan Hotel (Dan Gardens Hotel) from the Venue

Ganei Dan Hotel is located at 124 Yaffe-Nof Street.

Cross the street from the venue. Walk north along HaNassi Ave. to Wedgwood St. Walk east along Wedgwood St. (300 meters - at the end the road will bend left down hill) until reaching Yaffe Nof Street. Walk north along Yaffe Nof Street 25 meters. The hotel will be on your left.

Getting to the Crown Plaza Hotel (Holiday Inn) from the Venue

Crown Plaza Hotel (Holiday Inn) is located at 111 Yaffe-Nof Street.

One Option: Cross the street from the venue. Walk north along HaNassi Ave. until reaching Wedgwood St. Walk east along Wedgwood St. (300 meters - at the end the road will bend left down hill) until reaching Yaffe Nof Street. Walk north along Yaffe Nof Street 200 meters. The hotel will be on your right.

Second Option: Walk north along HaNassi Ave., cross the intersection of Derech Hayam, until you reach the underground station. Turn right ( east) to Shaar Halevanon Street, and walk along the street, down hill (25 meters) - at the "T" intersection, at the end the road turn right to Yaffe Nof Street. Walk south along Yaffe Nof Street about 100 meters. The hotel will be on your left.
